Colm Tóibín is the author of nine novels including 'Brooklyn', winner of the Costa Best Novel Award, and 'The Master', winner of the LA Times Novel of the Year. His play 'The Testament of Mary' was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play in 2013. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages. He is a contributing editor at the London Review of Books, Irene and Sidney B. Silverman Professor of Humanities at Columbia University and Chancellor of Liverpool University.
