William Wall is the author of six novels including the 2005 Booker longlisted This Is the Country. He has also published three collections of short fiction and four of poetry. His fifth poetry collection, Smugglers In the Underground Hug-Trade - A Journal Of A Plague Year, is due for publication in Autumn 2021. He is the first European winner of the Drue Heinz Prize for Literature among many other prizes and awards. His work has been translated into many languages and he translates from Italian.
