Éilís Ní Dhuibhne was born in Dublin in 1954. She is a fiction writer, literary critic, and lecturer in Creative Writing. She has lectured on Creative Writing in University College Dublin, Trinity College. She was the Burns Scholar at Boston College for the Fall semester 2020. She has written several books and won many awards for her work, most recently the Irish PEN Award 2015 for an Outstanding Contribution to Irish Literature. Her latest books are a memoir, Twelve Thousand Days (Blackstaff 2018) and a collection of short stories, Little Red and Other Stories (Blackstaff 2020) She is a member of Aosdana.
