Lia writes novels, short stories, memoir and essays. Her most recent novel, Fallen, was the Dublin/Belfast Two Cities One Book selection in 2016. Recent essays have appeared in Irish Women Writers at the Turn of the Twentieth Century: Alternative Histories, New Narratives, edited by Kathryn Laing and Sinéad Mooney (2020) (“A Country of the Mind: Eva Gore-Booth and the Easter Rising, 1916”) and in the Dublin Review ("Last Words", Autumn 2020 Issue #80).
